CAD Draftsperson / Interior Detailer
Converts design concepts into technical blueprints and detailed construction documentation for interior environments.
Overview
The daily life of a CAD Draftsperson revolves around high-precision digital drafting and problem-solving at a granular level. The rhythm is defined by project phases, shifting from initial floor plans to meticulous joinery details and section drawings that dictate exactly how components fit together. This role serves as a technical filter, identifying potential construction conflicts before they reach the job site and ensuring that every dimension aligns with the overall architectural shell.
Thriving in this field requires a methodical mindset and a high degree of spatial reasoning. The work feels deeply technical and focused, often involving long periods of deep work within software environments like AutoCAD or Revit. Success is measured by the clarity and accuracy of the documentation produced, which facilitates smooth communication between designers, contractors, and specialized fabricators.
