Responsibilities

- Conduct usability testing with laboratory personnel to identify ergonomic deficiencies in current hardware.
- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate internal components into aesthetic and durable housings.
- Source specialized materials that comply with biocompatibility standards and chemical exposure requirements.
- Create detailed technical documentation and assembly instructions for manufacturing partners.
- Liaise with regulatory affairs teams to ensure hardware designs meet ISO and FDA compliance standards.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on product development.
- Proficiency in professional CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360 for complex surface modeling.
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing processes including injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and casting.
- A portfolio showcasing successfully launched physical products or complex mechanical prototypes.
- Knowledge of human factors engineering and ergonomic principles for high-precision tasks.

- A Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or Biodesign.
