Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical inspections of aircraft engines, frames, and systems following maintenance or repair.
- Verify that all maintenance actions are documented accurately in accordance with federal aviation regulations.
- Audit technical records and logbooks to ensure compliance with airworthiness directives and service bulletins.
- Approve or reject work performed by maintenance technicians based on established quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical discrepancies identified during the inspection process.
- Monitor the calibration of precision tools and equipment used within the maintenance facility.
- Maintain high-level communication with regulatory authorities during facility audits and inspections.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Demonstrate five or more years of experience in heavy aircraft maintenance or repair.
- Possess expert-level knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) pertaining to maintenance.
- Show proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical schematics.
- Maintain a high degree of visual acuity and manual dexterity for detailed component analysis.

- Obtain an FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certification.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Management or a related engineering field.
- Complete specialized training in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods like ultrasound or radiography.
