Arts & Food Festival Partnership Manager
Manages collaborative relationships between corporate sponsors, artists, and culinary talent for large-scale public festivals.
Overview
This career involves the continuous navigation of diverse stakeholder interests to fund and produce complex cultural events. On a day-to-day basis, managers spend significant time in client meetings, pitching integration opportunities to brand marketing teams while simultaneously consulting with chefs and artists on the feasibility of their onsite installations. The rhythm of the work is highly seasonal, transitioning from a heavy focus on sales and contract negotiation in the off-season to intensive, fast-paced logistics and problem-solving as event dates approach.
Success in this role requires a professional capacity to translate between the corporate language of return-on-investment and the creative language of artistic expression. Those who thrive are typically adept at high-pressure multitasking and possess a strong social aptitude for networking and relationship maintenance. The work is fundamentally collaborative, requiring the ability to manage conflicting priorities between financial sponsors who require visibility and creators who prioritize the integrity of the guest experience.
The work culminates in the physical management of festival grounds, where theory meets practice and any planning oversights must be rectified in real time.
