Responsibilities
- Analyze high-volume transaction data to identify patterns indicative of money laundering or terrorist financing.
- Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports with relevant national financial intelligence units.
- Design and implement internal controls and policies to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and other regulations.
- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence on high-net-worth clients and politically exposed persons.
- Provide expert guidance to business units regarding the risk profiles of new financial products and services.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during investigations into suspected financial crimes.
- Monitor the effectiveness of automated surveillance systems and tune detection parameters to reduce false positives.
Qualifications
- A bachelor degree in finance, criminal justice, law, or a related field of study.
- Minimum of five years of experience in banking compliance, audit, or financial investigations.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international anti-money laundering laws and regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and transaction monitoring software.
- Strong technical writing skills for the preparation of detailed regulatory reports.
- Experience in conducting complex financial investigations and root cause analysis.
